The RVM version has two different sonar inputs. Start with the full transducer part number and corresponding port, not just the connector shape.

Two inputs, different families

Raymarine's guide distinguishes the RV/RVM connection from the 1 kW connection. The former covers RealVision Max, RealVision, SideVision, DownVision and CPT-S families, using the cable specified for each. The latter is checked separately for CHIRP and conventional transducers.

Examples that clarify the difference

RVM-100 part number A80703 connects directly to the 25-pin port. For RealVision Max pairs T70543 and T70544, the manufacturer states that Y-cable A80478 and extension A80477 are supplied. Do not add a second cable before checking the exact kit contents.

When A80490 is needed

The listed DownVision CPT-100DVS A80351, CPT-110 A80277 and CPT-120 A80350 use adapter A80490 to connect to the 25-pin port. The same documentation specifies A80490 for the listed CPT-S transducers. CPT-S remains a conical-beam transducer and does not gain DownVision through an adapter.

Use the connection tool for your part number and read the conditions for the path. Electrical connection alone does not confirm the appropriate mounting position or method for your hull.

• Confirm that the display is an Axiom 2 Pro RVM.

• Check the complete transducer part number and factory wiring.

• Distinguish required from included cables.

• Check hull material, deadrise and mounting instructions.
